Despite being arrogant and disobedient, Allah swt has answered the dua of Iblis as well and has given respite even to him, the accursed shaitan.
(Iblis) said: “O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised.”
Allah swt said:
“Respite is granted thee
Till the Day of the Time Appointed.”

The point to be noted here is that Iblis even after being arrogant and disobedient, he was putting the blame of his actions on
Allah swt and he vowed that he will make wrong fair seeming to the people.
So, if you wonder why people see evil as good and nothing wrong in it, and in addition to this, you find them defending it and promoting it, then know well that Iblis has played his role well and has successfully illusioned them by making evil as right in their sight, so don’t despair, on the contrary feel sad and pathetic for such people and try to invite them with ways that are wise and beautiful but even if they don’t reflect then know the intellectual leadership they have given is to the chief deceiver, he has made their evils and corrupt acts fair seeming!
(Iblis) said: “O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth and I will put them all in the wrong, except Thy servants among them sincere and purified (by Thy grace).”
SubhanAllah! By His Grace those who are sincere in service to Allah swt and purified by His grace will not be the ones who will follow the deceptions of Iblis.
May we become among those who are sincere and who are under His grace, who follow not the evils just because it has been made fair seeming in the eyes of those who have no vision to see beyond a particular frame provided or just because that the evil is fair seeming in the eyes of the mainstream as voguish.
