The bond

Someone shared something with me saying “badi himmat ki apko bataane mein, socha ap kia sochengee lekin phir socha share kar hi lete hai

(I had to gather a lot of courage in sharing it with you because I thought what will you think but then I thought to share it).

True, It is not an easy thing to share things/thoughts which are dark with someone else because another person with whom the things are shared even if that person is all trustworthy will somewhere subconsciously, even if not consciously, will develop an impression of your personality with that expression of yours!

But see what we need to learn from this incident which we have read many times before as well.

Abu Umamah reported: A young man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and he said, “O Messenger of Allah, give me permission to commit adultery.” The people turned to rebuke him, saying, “Quiet! Quiet!” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Come here.” The young man came close and he told him to sit down. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Would you like that for your mother?” The man said, “No, by Allah, may I be sacrificed for you.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Neither would people like it for their mothers. Would you like that for your daughter?” The man said, “No, by Allah, may I be sacrificed for you.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Neither would people like it for their daughters. Would you like that for your sister?” The man said, “No, by Allah, may I be sacrificed for you.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Neither would people like it for their sisters. Would you like that for your aunts?” The man said, “No, by Allah, may I be sacrificed for you.” The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Neither would people like it for their aunts.” Then, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his hand on him and he said, “O Allah, forgive his sins, purify his heart, and guard his chastity.” After that, the young man never again inclined to anything sinful.

In another narration, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, “Then hate what Allah has hated, and love for your brother what you love for yourself.”

SubhanAllah!
We know we learnt from this incident – The beautiful art of teaching the dwindling ones BUT we need to learn from this how much our Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him) despite being too busy was easily approachable, that even a common man felt comfortable sharing his dark thoughts with the Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him) and how beautifully the Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him) rectified it.

Sallallahu alaihi wassallam ❤️

We really need ask ourselves how much we are easily approachable to people and how much people are comfortable with us sharing their struggles!!!

I believe if the people find someone in their struggling, dwindling period when they are almost at the edge of the cliff of the fall and find the right advise, then by His will they might respond to The Divine Call.

May Allah (swt),
Al Hafeez, The Protector protect us from all evils, be they apparent or hidden, may Allah (swt) enable us to develop such bonds that people doesn’t have to think twice before sharing with us, and may we become the source of bringing them from darkness to light.
Ameen.

  1. You are right sister, people around us close themselves and make a circle around them , other people can’t approach them easily.
    Jazakallah for the reminder.
