Allah SWT had taught Adam AS names of everything (blessed him with knowledge) and honoured him (pbuh) to an extent that the angels prostrated infront of him (pbuh), but the fall happend when the same knowledgeable one got deceived by the waswasa (evil whisper of shaitan), which is sometimes considered by us as our own thoughts.
AllahuAkbar! Adam AS ate from the forbidden tree about which Allah SWT had asked not to even go near to that tree. The words of caution used by Allah SWT were –
وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَـٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ ٣٥
“..but do not approach this tree, or else you will be wrongdoers.”
SubhanAllah! Shaitan made this act (eating from that one tree) fair seeming in the eyes of Adam (AS) even though he was so knowledgeable!
What is interesting is the fact that the same words are used when Allah SWT is asking us not to go even near to zina (adultery).
وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلزِّنَىٰٓ
“And do not even go near to zina.”
SubhanAllah! I only find Allah’s immense mercy of cautioning us that don’t even go near to it.
These days, especially now, as February has started, and the so called love will be in the air with Valentine’s day coming forth, we need to understand that Allah SWT has laid down strict rules and regulations when it comes to dealing with na mahrams. We can’t talk to them freely even for the sake of da’wah let alone for other issues, and all this is for our betterment only, and this include online platforms as well. We should always remember the hadith that between two alone na’mahrams the third is shaitan.
I find Allah as Ar-Raheem when He cares for us so much that He says, “Don’t go even near…,” because as our Khaaliq He knows we might fall being on the edge. It is like stopping the unaware ones of the harm and telling them not to go even near to the exposed wires which might electrocute them with huge electric shocks if stepped over.
So many people are carried away just because of the dopamine (feel good hormone) they get from intermingling with na’mahrams and their appreciations.
May Allah Al Hafeez protect us all from Shaitan – Aduwwun mubeen – the open enemy who attacks everyone as per their psychology and personality. Doomed are those who think they are smarter than shaitan and underestimate him as an enemy.
SubhanAllah! Only if we understand our love from the definitions of Allah Al Wadood – The Most Loving One – The Source of love.
