Alhamdulillah, recently I have started beseeching Allah Al-Mujeeb with this beautiful dua which is highly recommended to be recited daily in the mornings and evenings.
SubhanAllah! Today, while I was imploring our Rabb with these words, I paused and thought that subhanAllah Allah Al-Hakeem (The Most Wise) has His own beautiful ways to inspire us.
The dua says that “…Do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye.”
SubhanAllah! What is blinking of an eye means? It signifies the spur of the moment.
We all know, it is such a short time in which the eye blinks, and here our Rabb has asked us to beseech Him, not to leave us to our ownselves (nafs) for even the blinking of eyes, meaning not even for the shortest moment!
SubhanAllah! We make this dua on so individual level but if we see on collective level then we are making all laws as per our nafs, whims, desires, as per ownselves and then we wonder why we are in the state in which we are in!
“O Ever-Living, O Self-Sustaining and All-Sustaining, by Your mercy I seek help; rectify all my affairs and do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for the blink of an eye.”
