Yes, we should not envy but
I was feeling envious to her – the squirrel.
Was thinking she wouldn’t have to face the day of akhirah, giving accounts of her deeds and niyah!
Jumping here and there, relishing Allah’s nai’mah with no accountability in the hereafter!
Wow!
Literally, was feeling envious of this beautiful takhleeq of Allah Al Khaaliq.
But then I realised even if she doesn’t have to live in the state of fear and hope,
even if she doesn’t have to witness her scales on right and wrong, even if she doesn’t have to introspect her ni’yah before doing anything, she doesn’t enjoy the immense and utmost nai’mah which our Rabb has bestowed upon us, an opportunity to meet Him, to see Him inshaAllah.
وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاضِرَةٌ
إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌۭ
“Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant).
Looking at their Rabb.”
Holy Quran 75, 22-23
