“A Jewish man said to `Umar bin Al-Khattab (r.a) `O Leader of the Believers! There is a verse in your Book, which is read by all of you (Muslims), and had it been revealed to us, we would have taken that day (on which it was revealed) as a day of celebration.’ `Umar bin Al-Khattab (r.a) asked, `Which is that verse’ The Jew replied
الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِى
(This day, I have perfected your deen for you, completed My favor upon you…)
`Umar r.a replied, `By Allah! I know when and where this verse was revealed to Allah’s Messenger (pbuh). It was the evening on the Day of `Arafah on a Friday.”
This day, I have perfected your deen for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your deen.

The day of arafah is upon us.
Let’s strive to fast on that day as it is highly recommended.
Let’s realise the importance of this day, the day of arafah, on which His Majesty has completed His (favour) ehsaan upon us by completing deen e Islam.
So, let’s leave no stone unturned to do dhikr and glorify Him in different and beautiful ways, He (swt) Himself has prescribed.
SubhanAllah, the deen is an ehsaan by Him, but ever wondered why then it is a burden for many to carry?
Well! The reason could be many –
May be misunderstood context, may be partial implementation which has created further chaos, may be the distorted definitions which the mainstream propaganda has taught us.
May be all or may be in addition to this our own ignorance and arrogance in admiting it.
May Allah swt ease our affairs, give us sincerity, choose us and may we die in a state He (swt) is well pleased with us.
May we realise the value of our beautiful deen and may we cherish it as an ihsaan should ought to be appreciated.
