Assalamualaikum all.
I am writing this as I believe, most of us need it right now.
We have seen Delhi pogrom, the role of police, the role of Islamophobic media afterwards and the role of entire system, all this has made many of us, to land in sleepless nights, disturbed thoughts, and a sort of gloomy atmosphere which has engulfed us all almost entirely.
Those who are in field, helping the victims have also realised that though they feel a bit better in doing some relief work for the sake of Allah swt but listening to the horrors and seeing the hatred filled maahol has made them also feel a sort of void and disturbance.
To you all my dear people,
This is obvious and natural for us to think and feel like this and infact if we are sleeping peacefully and having no disturbance after all such atrocious crimes then it is a sign of insensitivity and insanity.
So, first of all it is good that we feel the pain and we are pained!
Now, there are two things we can do –
We feel and feel and feel but then we suffer of severe headaches and migraines and other tabyat khraab issues because of anxiety and stess, in this case we are not productive enough to do something for people, for us and all for the sake of Allah swt.
The second scenario – We feel and we feel pained but we channelise all that pain in energy of doing something productive, helping out the victims, raising awareness which is otherwise suppressed, documenting everything on paper and in documentaries so that even of we are not alive anymore then atleast the words will and images will deliver the message, handling the wrong concepts, we see in muslims today – everything compromised even compromising with the basic concepts of Islam has become a “maslehat or hikmat”, we need to address the concepts and share the right understanding inshaAllah.
You know what is interesting and saddening both?
Whenever I read Holy Quran, most of the times, the ayat which comes while flipping the pages of Quran is on the greatest blessing of Allah swt about which He swt says –
“He grants Hikmah (wisdom) to whom He pleases, and he, to whom Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good. But none remember (will receive admonition) except men of understanding.”
Quran (Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 269)
Hikmah, wisdom is Allah’s greatest blessing, and it doesn’t mean in the least bit to compromise with Islamic concepts with whatever reasons, but in India we see people have started adulterating haqq with baatil and sadly all in the name of so called hikmat and wisdom!!!
May Allah swt make things easy for us all, give us strength to work harder in such tough times and may we chanellise our anger, sadness into a kick and motivational energy which turns out to be into fruitful actions for the sake of Allah swt.
InshaAllah.
Hasbunallahu Wa’nimal Wakeel.
