The Prejudice

No doubt! Whatever happened with Twinkle in Aligarh was horrific and terrible, the culprits should be punished severely, as soon as possible!

The good news is that
Prime suspects Zahid and Aslam, accused of killing Aligarh two-year-old Twinkle (over a money-related feud with her family), have been arrested!

What is bad is that a tragedy which happened because of personal rivalry is given a communal colour!

And it is being compared with kathua’s, an eight year old Asifa’s rape case, who was kidnapped, drugged, raped and murdered inside the hindu temple with the motive to terrorise the minority nomadic community!

Sub-Inspector Anand Dutta, Head Constable Tilak Raj and SPO Surender Verma — were convicted for destruction of evidence in such a heinous case.

Well! Nodoubt both are horrible incidents and the perpetrators should be punished, irrespective of any associations with religion, caste, creed.
But I believe, to compare both tragedies as same to same is not right!

Kathua’s rape case happened with an intention to terrorize the minority nomadic community, AND the shame is that there were protests on street in favour of the rapists!
Minister for forest Chaudhary Lal Singh and minister for commerce and industries Chander Prakash Ganga, both from BJP, attended the event organised by Hindu Ekta Manch, an outfit that has been protesting against the arrests in the case. The abduction, rape and killing of the child was part of a carefully planned strategy to remove the minority nomadic community from the area, the chargesheet said.
The verdict is out recently on Asifa’s case but I believe the justice is what her family has rightfully demanded – hang to death!
And I really don’t understand that why a juvenile is not punished, if he is capable enough to commit a crime, he should be capable enough to receive the due punishments as well.

Whereas in Aligarh’s tragedy of brutal torture and murder of little Twinkle, the rivalry was personal and nobody from the muslim community came out in favour of the perpetrators of the heinous crime committed!

On the contrary, the whole chapter was painted as communal because the perpetrator’s name were Aslam and Zahid!

Be they Zahid or Aslam, or any other name, belonging to other religious name, the oppressors are oppressors and should be given toughest punishments, the sad state is that, it won’t serve the purpose till the air is enveloped with communal colour to harm the innocents!

Both girls were innocent.
Both met a tragic end.
But one’s tragedy was pre planned because of hate against the minority nomadic community, the other’s tragic end, was taken up in polarising the hatred for the entire people living in the vicinity!

Hasbunallahu Wa’nimal Wakeel!

All I pray that may their perpetrators get the severest punishments and may they both get justice. Ameen.
