Jungle book and Sherkhan

Well! Being a concerned mother I generally sit with my younger kid to have an eye on the stuff he is watching on television even if it is all cartoons.
One fine evening, I was having a look at the cartoon movie – Jungle book which was originally written in the form of book by
Rudyard Kipling.
It was not amazing for me at all to see the protagonist named as ‘mawgli’ (which sounds neutral) and antagonist (villain) named as ‘Sher Khan’ (sounds muslim) who was a ferocious, harmful, scoundrel, ruthless, selfish and crooked character. Yes, imbibing Islamophobia even from 1894.

Yes! Islamophobia is not new, they have been embedding it ever since.
