Allah and Om controversy

News – Maulana Syed Arshad Madani, the president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind (Arshad faction) on Sunday stirred a controversy after he claimed that “Om (which is a symbol of hindu mythology) and Allah are same.”

Comment – It is well known the atmosphere in India is highly anti-muslim, and ghar wapasi (return to hinduism) is the talk of the town these days by the right wing.

SubhanAllah! Nationalism is such a rotten concept that people think if Islam came outside from India then it is foreign to their land, and should be undone, irrespective of the fact that what is truth and what is not!

The concept of monotheism was present since Adam’s (a.s) time, then the teachings became corrupt and time to time the messengers (peace be upon them all) were sent to revive the message of monotheism again.
The seal of the Prophethood is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). No prophet will come after him (pbuh), Islam spread to far and wide through many different forms. To portray Islam as rejected just because it came outside the man made boundaries is pride of utmost nature, and to portray Islam as similar to Hinduism is mixing truth with falsehood which is nothing but baatil.

Allah Al-Haqq says in ayah 42 from surah baqrah –

“Do not mix truth with falsehood or hide the truth knowingly.”

SubhanAllah! mixing truth with falsehood, and even hiding the truth knowingly all equates to baatil.

I understand the atmosphere of India is anti-muslim but that doesn’t mean that one, in the name of coexistence, one starts equating Om with Allah (astaghfirullah). If in the name of dawah and so called “maslehat” people will start making Islam similar to the mushrikeen’s madhab then it is adulterating truth with falsehood.

Allah is As-Samad – The Independent.
Allah is Al-Ahad – The One and Only.
Allah begets not, nor He is begotten.
He is Al-Hakam – The One Who legislates.
And no one is similar to His attributes as He Himself has mentioned in surah Maryam ayah 65.
“(He is the) Lord of the heavens, and the earth, and everything in between. So worship Him ˹alone˺, and be steadfast in His worship. Do you know of anyone equal to Him ˹in His attributes˺?”

Allah and Om can never be one!

AllahuAkbar!
