Alhamdulillah, living in the mountains is a blessing in a truly beautiful way. The Holy Quran mentions mountains multiple times, with one particular reference in Surah Al-Anbiya, Ayah 31, where Allah Ta’ala uses the term رَوَٰسِىَ (firmly set mountains), symbolizing stability.
SubhanAllah! These mountains remind us to remain steadfast during turbulent times, especially when holding onto Islam feels as challenging as grasping hot coals at that time mountains offer an eagle’s eye view, providing a broader perspective that helps us recognize the missing dimensions within the Ummah that have led to our repeated struggles and suffering.
I feel truly blessed to reside in the mountains, as they provide me with the solitude and time to reflect deeply. The Prophet (pbuh) used to retreat to the Cave of Hira for reflection, where Allah Al-Wahaab bestowed upon him (pbuh) the best of guidance- the Holy Quran, with its first verses revealed in that very cave.
As I sit in the mountains, writing another book about the missing dimensions in our blessed Ummah,
I pray to Allah Al-Fattah to open the doors of goodness for me, my family, and the entire Ummah. May He Al- Haadi guide us all towards the light and truth.
Ameen ya Al-Mujeeb.
