SubhanAllah! The trees outside my window have been a source of inspiration for me Alhamdulillah. Over the time, I have written many reflections about them.
Was wondering about this particular tree. SubhanAllah! we all notice the lush, green tree, it catches the eye instantly. But do we truly understand that the weathered tree carries the deeper story? Its scars tell as much as its blossoms. SubhanAllah! the tree doesn’t cling to every branch or needle. Sometimes, shedding is essential for what remains to thrive.
Against the backdrop of a clear blue sky, even the gaps in its branches appear artistic. Context changes the story we choose to see. Indeed, it is always about the context!!!
Sometimes I imagine the tree speaking directly to me,
“Maryam, I have seen things the springs and the falls. And I’m still here. Do you know why? Because of my firm roots. Stay firm in your roots, and your direction will always be upward, toward the sky (inshaAllah).”
On another note, I will deeply miss this part of Allah’s ardh, the breathtaking beauty of beautiful British Columbia. The trees on the mountains, the mountains themselves, the golden sunsets and gentle sunrises, the chirping of birds doing tasbeeh of Allah Al-Azeem in their own language which we cannot comprehend in the hours of morning and evening, the graceful deer met on casual walks, and the awe inspiring aurora borealis, they have all spoken to me in their own way and inspired my heart to One and The Only One-Allah Al-Ahad!
But, inshaAllah, a new chapter of life awaits. And I trust in Allah Al-Qadeer’s perfect decree that it will be even more beautiful and beneficial than this phase. Ameen, ya Ar-Rabb. Alhamdulillah for everything 💚
