The Light, and the reflection

While reading the Seerah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, I’m often struck with awe. So many of those who once stood as fierce enemies of Islam eventually embraced it, not because they were forced, but because they allowed the light to reflect. Their hearts, though once veiled, were sincere enough to respond when the truth reached them. They reflected upon the haqq.

A couple of months ago, I captured this image. Today, as I revisited it, I was reminded of that same truth,
Even behind every barrier, His light still finds a way.
Even when life feels caged, the heart can still glow.
Just like sunlight piercing through metal, Allah’s guidance (hidayah) reaches through every obstacle to the one whose heart is open to reflect upon.

Let’s strive to make our qalb like still water – reflective not resisting His light, but mirroring it.

And since it’s Friday, the day of light and mercy, let’s not forget to send abundant salawat upon the one whom Allah, An-Noor, sent as a light for all the worlds
اللهم صل وسلم وبارك على نبينا محمد ﷺ

اللهم اجعل نورك لا يفارق قلوبنا

“Ya Allah, let Your light never depart from our hearts.”

Ameen ya Al-Mujeeb.
