Alhamdulillah we are in the month of Rajab. It is 23rd Rajab 1447 A.H when I am writing this.
Rajab is not just another month on the calendar of this Ummah. It is the month in which Allah Al-A’zeem raised His beloved Messenger ﷺ beyond the heavens. But it is also the month in which the Ummah was pushed to the ground.
Isra was the miraculous night journey of the Prophet ﷺ from Makkah to Masjid al Aqsa. Miraj was his ascension beyond the seven heavens to a station no human had ever reached before.
This did not happen in a season of ease. It happened after pain. After loss. After heartbreak. Yes, After Taif.
The Prophet ﷺ had just buried his shield, his uncle Abu Talib. He had just buried his heart, Khadijah r.a- the woman who believed when others rejected.
The woman who stood firm when others doubted. The woman who wrapped him and re-assured him ﷺ when revelation shook his soul.
AllahuAkbar! When he ﷺ went to Taif for nusrah so that he ﷺ can establish Islam as deen, but our Prophet ﷺ was stoned, mocked, and driven out. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was bleeding, and was broken.
And he ﷺ raised that unforgettable dua. And then Allah Al- A’zeem raised him ﷺ up above the seven heavens on miraj which happened in Rajab.
SubhanAllah! Before the Ummah was given victory to establish Islam as a complete deen in Madeena, it was given salah on miraj. Before leadership, it was given sujood. Before power, it was given prayer.
Miraj, the ascension of the Prophet ﷺ on the up above the seven heavens came to heal the heart of the Prophet ﷺ and the Prophet ﷺ said-
“The salah is the miraj of the believer.”
Every sajdah is the ascension of the believer. Every sajdah is our conversation. Every prayer is our reminder that we are never abandoned even when we feel crushed.
But Rajab also carries a deep collective wound.
On 28 Rajab 1342 AH, corresponding to 3 March 1924, the Khilafah was officially abolished in Turkey.
And the Ummah fell.
Not in one blow but in slow decay. Not only by enemies but also by our own weaknesses.
Outside forces plotted. Unity fractured. Intellectual decline came, Leadership weakened. And when the structure collapsed, the Ummah was left scattered politically, socially, and spiritually.
We lost not just a government.
We lost the shield, the deen, the repercussions of which can be everywhere seen from atrocities to live genocides.
But Alhamdulillah! we are not an ummah with a broken ending.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave us a glad tiding.
He ﷺ said,
“Prophethood will remain among you as long as Allah wills. Then Allah will remove it when He wills. Then there will be Khilafah upon the methodology of Prophethood. It will remain as long as Allah wills. Then Allah will remove it when He wills. Then there will be مُلْكًا عَاضًّا . It will remain as long as Allah wills. Then Allah will remove it when He wills. Then there will be مُلْكًا جَبْرِيًّ . It will remain as long as Allah wills. Then Allah will remove it when He wills. Then there will be Khilafah upon the methodology of Prophethood.”
ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَىٰ مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ
“Then there will be Khilafah upon the methodology of Prophethood.” ﷺ
This is a Divine roadmap.
The Khilafah will return again inshaAllah as a just system for muslims and non muslims on the Minhaj of Prophethood peacefully.
And by the permission of Allah, it will be re-established in Muslim lands peacefully. InshaAllah
You must have heard that Rajab is the month of planting seeds. So plant this seed in your heart that the Deen of Islam, in the form of a righteous Khilafah upon the footsteps of Prophethood, will be re-established, InshaAllah peacefully in muslim lands.
Plant it with conviction. Nourish it with knowledge and sincerity. Let it grow in light of seerah of ﷺ
And by the permission of Allah Ar-Raheem, let it bear fruit.
Because seeds planted in Rajab are not meant to stay buried. They are meant to rise.
