The recent crash of the Air India plane few minutes after flying from Ahmedabad to London is not just a tragic accident, it’s a result of years of neglect, poor maintenance, and corruption.
Many passengers in the past have already experienced the visible terrible condition of Air India flights like broken seatbelts, dirty toilets, non-working screens, and poor customer services. When complained, Air India claimed it is buying new planes, and apologized for the inconveniences, but they keep flying old, poorly maintained ones.
The aircraft involved in the crash was a Boeing 787-8 “Dreamliner” which became a nightmare!
This crash happened just after takeoff something that could have been prevented with proper checks. When small problems are ignored for years, they turn into deadly tragedies.
Air India’s old and outdated planes are still in use, despite promises of replacements. Poor maintenance and hygiene show lack of care and safety. Regulatory bodies failed to take action likely due to systematic corruption or pressure.
Warnings from passengers and staff were ignored who used to raise complaints from time to time.
It’s a human failure, caused by those in power who chose profits over people’s lives. This crash didn’t begin in the air.
It began with ignored complaints, rushed inspections, profit-first decisions, and weak accountability.
As per news reports, in 2024, Boeing engineer Sam Salehpour raised serious concerns about the structural integrity of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. He alleged that the American aircraft manufacturer took shortcuts while manufacturing the aircraft model’s fuselage and warned it could lead to catastrophic failures over time.
It’s not just about one flight. It’s about a system where warnings are dismissed, passengers are treated like cargo, and lives are lost before lessons are learned.
So the Dreamliner is a good aircraft on paper, but when airlines and the system cut corners or neglect their duties, even a “dream” can turn into a nightmare.
