SubhanAllah,
Imagine! We have been foretold by our Rabb that we all shall be in three different sorts. Yes, three groups.
On that Day, all will be divided into three distinct groups.
No one will be grouped randomly, each person will be placed according to what they sent ahead in this life sincerely for Allah Al-Ahad’s sake alone.
“So there will be the Companions of the Right. What are the Companions of the Right?”
The first group is أَصحَابُ الْيَمِيْن, the People of the Right Hand. These are the believers whose records will be placed in their right hands on the Day of Judgment, a sign of their success.
Ayah 9: “And the Companions of the Left. What are the Companions of the Left?”
أَصْحَابُ الشِّمَال, the People of the Left Hand, are those whose records will be given in their left hands, a mark of disgrace, and failure.
Ayah 10: “And the Foremost will be the Foremost.”
This is the most elevated group, السَّابقُوْن. These are the ones who raced toward good in this world, who did not delay in their obedience to Allah Al-A’zeem. The Foremost because their status in the next life mirrors the urgency they showed in this one. They did not wait for tomorrow.
The Companions of the Right are saved. The Companions of the Left are in ruin. But the Foremost are in a category of nearness to Allah, Rabb of all aalaameen.
May Allah Al-Mujeeb make us among السَّابِقُوْن so that we can be among الْمُقَرَّبوْن.
