The fragrance of perspective

Just read the news that Ambergris worth more than ₹5 crores was seized at Dapoli (a place in India).

Interestingly! Ambergris which is also known as whale vomit by some, is also called liquid gold by others, it is a proof that value is never fixed, it is shaped by perception. The same lump of waxy substance of whale’s vomit in the ocean could repulse a sailor yet inspire a perfumer. This paradox isn’t confined to whales, it lives in us too.

SubhanAllah! How often do we reject parts of ourselves, our scars, failures, or awkward truths, without realizing that, in another light, they carry beauty, resilience, or wisdom? What we belittle about ourselves might be the very traits that give others comfort, inspiration, or connection. What is waste in one world becomes treasure in another. Sometimes, Life works the same way, our struggles, rejections, and “unwanted parts” may be precisely what someone else finds precious.

Ambergris whispers a deep lesson, don’t be so quick to label things as useless.
Waste and worth are two sides of perception. What you discard today could be the rare fragrance someone else has been searching for all along.

In the right context and perspective, even “vomit” can turn into precious perfumes.
